Three curves to judge whether the gas valve is working normally

The compressor valve is a very important component in the compressor and also a vulnerable part. With the increase of running time, it may fail at any time. So how to detect the failure of the valve in time during the operation of the compressor? In fact, after the valve fails, the compressor has very obvious changes in these three aspects, namely: temperature, pressure, and exhaust volume.

The analysis is as follows:

1. If the intake valve is not closed tightly, when the gas in the cylinder is compressed, the gas in the cylinder will leak to the suction pipe, so that the suction temperature rises, the pressure rises, and the flow rate decreases due to the reflux of part of the gas.

2. If the exhaust valve is not closed tightly, when the cylinder stops exhausting and starts to inhale, part of the high-pressure gas in the exhaust pipe will flow back into the cylinder, causing the exhaust pressure to drop. At the same time, these reflux gases are not cooled and the temperature is very high, so that the exhaust temperature rises. The flow rate naturally drops significantly.

Through the above analysis, it is very simple for us to check whether the valve is normal. It only takes three steps:

1. Check the flow rate: When the compressor flow rate decreases, it may be caused by the failure of the valve.

2. Check the pressure: When the inlet pressure of the cylinder increases and the exhaust pressure decreases, it indicates that the valve may fail.

3. Measure the temperature: This is the most critical step. Spend a few dozen yuan to buy a temperature gun and measure the valve cover. If the temperature rises, the valve should have a problem.
